It is a sustainable choice in terms of wear, as a good pair of jeans can last for years. But unfortunately, denim also comes with a high ecological price tag – the production and processing of cotton and denim require a large amount of water.

Then there is the ever-changing world of fashion. One season, your most trusted jeans are in, the next, they are suddenly “out” again. Just think of the moment when skinny jeans had to make way for barrel jeans and denim Bermuda shorts. But you know what? Do not let the trends dictate what stays or goes. Denim is far too valuable to be abandoned at the back of your wardrobe.

With a little creativity, you can easily give your old jeans a second life.

Whether your jeans are too tight, too long, or "out of style", a needle and thread can work wonders. You can:
